The next morning, Juror 13 meets up with Jaques, who has been summoned by the court to serve as a juror in the trial. Jaques is depressed, but Jaques convinces him to go out with the other young men. Jurors 13 and 14 discuss Jaques's mood, and Jaques tells them that one of them has invited him to join them in heaven.
