About This Chapter
The scene opens with a kiss between the two men. It is obvious that they are in love, but the kiss is interrupted by the sound of someone's voice, which makes the lovers uneasy. The lovers begin to argue about whether or not they should continue, and the lovers finally decide that they should not continue. They do not want to be "some kind of best friend," and they do not even want to call themselves a "partner." They are not "dating," and neither are they "best friends." The lovers then apologize for the "misunderstanding" they have caused each other. They admit that they did not mean to deceive each other, and they apologize for giving each other the wrong impression. They hug, and then the lovers try to hold each other's hands, but they are unable to do so.
