About This Chapter
The first thing we're going to learn today is how to breathe. It's a breathing technique that's been around for a long time, but it's really new to us. We're not sure if this is the first time we've heard of this breathing technique, but we'll give it a try. The breathing technique involves inhaling for a few seconds, then exhaling, and finally stopping breathing for a minute and a half. Then the breathing slows down, and the heart rate goes up. Then, the breathing stops, and you breathe out of carbon dioxide. You know, the stuff you breathe in when you're stressed out, like, "I can't breathe anymore, I'm going to kill myself" . But the breathing technique is so new that we'd better get used to it ASAP. The next thing we learn is that you have to hold onto your breath for at least two minutes, and that you can breathe in oxygen or carbon dioxide, depending on what's going on in your body. We learn that breathing in carbon dioxide is like holding onto a bear's tail, and breathing out of it is like being stuck in the middle of a bear hug. So, the next thing you know, you've got ten seconds to breathe in and breathe out. You've confirmed that the bear hug is real, and now you can count to ten. You
