The butler tells Oswald that he just went out to buy some sand for his dog, but that it would have been nice if they could meet up and have a "safe trip back" . Oswald tells the butler that he's been cleaning the toilet and that he doesn't think he saw the dog when he woke up the other day. Oswald says that he searched the house, but couldn't find the dog anywhere. He's sure that the dog will come back soon, so he'll call Oswald again later. Oswald asks where the dog is, and the butler tells him that he hides under a car lot. The butler says that they'll scatter the dog's poop around the house so that he won't be able to find it anywhere. Oswald suggests that they get more serious about finding their way back to the house when the dog comes back, so that they don't have to worry too much about him coming back. Oswald reminds the dog that it's her funeral today, so they should just go home and enjoy their vacation.
