In this chapter, Sik reunites with his old friend, who is now a diving instructor. Sik asks Sik to stay with him for a few days so that he can finish his open water diving lessons. Sik and Sik's conversation is interrupted by the arrival of the diving instructor, who introduces himself as "Choungwoo" and says that he has just returned from a trip to the Galapagos Islands. The two men exchange pleasantries, and Sik confesses that he misses his friend a great deal.
