This chapter opens with a flashback to the beginning of the school year, when a student named yoshida is fighting another student named kun , who is sitting next to him. The student, Mizutani, is shocked to learn that his friend, marco, has been killed in the fight, and that he has been sent away to be with "dangerous people" . The other student, haru, is also involved in a fight and has been suspended from school for 15 days. Mizutan tells the student that haru's dog has been returned to the family, but the boy is unable to find the dog. He tells the boy that he is not very good at school and that his friends are calling him "dry ice" , but Mizutana assures him that he will be fine
