About This Chapter
The next morning, the Governess goes to the market to buy some potatoes for dinner. When she arrives at the market, she finds that Tomohiro has been bitten by a mosquito. The Governess tells her sister not to worry about it, because she's not going to school that day. She's going to eat whatever she wants at the table, and she doesn't want to argue with her sister about what's good or bad for her. She says that she wants to know what the world was like when she wasn't around, and that she'd like to know more about the people in her life. She asks if her sister has changed, and then asks if she has changed at all. She tells her that she hasn't changed, but that she still has to obey her mother's orders. She adds that she has a lot of grand children, and they're all very fine. She wonders if there's something she'll talk about today, and asks if it's about the letter that she wrote to her sister. She thinks that she heard that she had something to talk about, and wonders if she heard anything about it from her sister, but she doesn1t think that she would tell her about it. She decides to go to the school and talk to her.
