Act.20 opens on a riverbank, where Dr. Coppelius and Dr. Ozu are trying to cross the river in order to reach the city of haneda. They're about eight miles from the city, and they're worried that they won't be able to make it there in time. They want to get to the river and get Dr. Yoneda to tell them where he is, so they rush off to find Yoneda, who's been having a little mental breakdown. She tells them that she saw a part of her when she was attacked by Kiara, and that it made her see that part of Kiara's memories. Dr. O'Dowd and Yoneda are shocked to learn that they've been beaten and taken prisoner, but Yoneda refuses to talk to them. They run off to get the river sign, but they can't find it on a map.
