About This Chapter
As the battle rages on, Hirohito and his men try desperately to find a way out of the fighting. They can't find any way to get back to the airship, so they have to run to the other side of the battlefield. As they run, they see the yellow cake floating overhead, and they realize that it's the retrieval ship from which they retrieved the airship. They realize that they're the ones who retrieved it, not the airship's occupants. They panic, and one of them runs off to help them. They're about to run when they hear the sound of a "clacking tin" coming from behind them. It's not a cannon, but a "holdup tin" . The men panic, but one of the men is still alive, and he runs to help Hiroshito. He tells them that he's going to save them all, too.
