The mask maker and his friend, the dumpling maker, are in the forest looking for the robot. They've been looking for it for ten years. The robot they're looking for is the one that built the daiba power plant, which was destroyed by the earthquake. It's got armor made for it, so it's not going to rust easily. They want to use it to build the edon again, but the mask maker says he's been watching to see if they can figure out why he stayed behind to work on the project. He says that even after they sealed off the power plant from the outside, the "curse on these grounds" remained. They plan to use the robot to rebuild the city.
