The chapter opens with a description of the Leviathan's training ground, which is described as being "super dark in here" . It is dark enough that it is difficult to see what is going on in the room. The narrator then explains that the term "dark matter" refers to a "mystery type of matter" that constitutes a "vast amount" of the elements we are familiar with in hydrogen, helium, and so forth. The term "Dark Matter" is used to refer to a small portion of the universe that does not yet know about the rest of the known universe. He explains that he simply "chanced upon" this formula in one "small corner" of "the boundless universe" , and that he uses this power to control the universe.
