About This Chapter
Ibara and the other girls are still trapped in the power plant. They've lost their "safe haven" , and they're worried about what's going to happen to them now that they've been exposed to so much danger. Ibara is worried about her missing ayame, and she's worried about how she'll be able to get out of the prison. She's also worried about the fact that the elderly are going to be displaced if the plant is shut down, and that's just because of her. She also worries about how Ibara's genetic engineering is going to affect the elderly, because they'll have to live with her for the rest of their lives, and it's not going to make them any better off. I'm not a scientist, she says, but I love science, and I love the idea of being able to do things that are closest to nature. So I'll figure out how to get rid of her glasses so she can't see as far away as she wants to. I want a superpower, too, because no matter where I go, no matter what I do, there's always something beautiful to look at.
