About This Chapter
The narrator tells us that the Daiba power plant is the center of the city of Tokyo, where 90 percent of the population died from exposure to the radioactive material. The plant has been sealed with iron and lead, preventing the radioactive materials from leaking out. Pan Dora opens the box that contains the program, and the narrator tells him that it is up to him to find survivors. The narrator says that they can't find anyone with the survivor beep they just received, so they'll just go talk to him. He says that he used to be in charge of animals at school, and that he'll come back if they find someone. They find a dead dog, which they think is the same dog that ate the body of the dead man. The dog is probably a wolf, because after 20 years, the stray dogs turned wild again. They're going to get the dog back.
