About This Chapter
The next morning, Mina and Tomouchi arrive at the train station in order to catch the shin-osaka bound for the chess tournament. Mina asks to be dropped off at the other side of the train platform, but the other passengers refuse to let her off. Mina thanks them profusely for all their hard work, and asks them to hurry up and get ready for the tournament. She tells them that they are in the "tour nament" , which means they are amateurs, and that it is nice to have "serious matches every once in awhile" . Mina tells him that she lost her smart phone at the station, so she had to board a series of trains to get to her destination. She asks him if he has beaten him before, and he tells her that he has, but he has never beaten her before. He asks her if she would like to go out with him, and she says that she would, but that she does not want to be a part of his suffering. He tells her to be honest with herself, because she is not the cause of her suffering. Mina finally realizes that she cares more about him than anyone else.
