About This Chapter
The narrator tells us that he took a year off from school because he wanted to get busy. He says that he's in the same high school class as the other students, and that he hopes they'll all become friends. He also says that they all hang out together despite being different years and classes. He tells the girls to be nice to each other and not to get into trouble with each other because he thinks they're human beings. The girls complain that they haven't had time to eat in the cafeteria yet and that their teacher hasn't yet come back from his lunch break. They also complain that the girls are always so cheerful and never show the scars of their past. They say that they are "child hood friends" and that they can't have too many friends in their age group. The narrator says that his sister is a big fan of Master and that she's fitting in very well at school.
