About This Chapter
The next time they meet, he says, he's going to play the same game. He's not sure if it's a good thing or not, but he thinks it'll be a good one. He thinks it was hard for arata to lose, because he was so strong in the first try. He wonders if it means that tourna isn't really for him, or if it just means that the other players aren't as strong as they thought they would be. He wants to know how late they are, and he wonders why they don't have a taxi waiting for them at the shrine office. He also wonders why the queen is wearing a kimono in the hot July heat, and wonders if she's just standing there waiting for the taxi to come pick her up. The taxi is waiting for class b, and class c is waiting outside the shrine to draw up the schedule for the next day's matches. The narrator says that this is the final time they'll play together, and that he'd like to go and watch them play, but that he doesn't want to go because he wants to be alone. He says he'll just play the next time he meets them.
