About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a discussion between Mizu and the captain of the high-karata club. Mizu sees that the club has put all its members in the finals of the tournament. He asks the captain what he should do while he's captaining the club. The captain replies that he wants to get fresh air. He's not particularly good at it, but he thinks he has a chance to win the tournament and earn a promo for the upcoming master match. He doesn't particularly care about the master match, but Mizu thinks that she's thinking about it. Meanwhile, her body is small, so it's hard for her to move from behind in the practice. She mounts a powerful attack on her opponent, but she can't move fast enough to do it. The other captain chimes in that he'll watch the master and master matches. He wants to know what's happening in either match. The Captain says that he can''t tell, but that he is going to watch the two matches. When Mizu asks why she is wearing ahaka, the Captain replies that she looks like a pretty girl, but no one wears a haka like she does. She's wearing it because her family name is on the card, and Mizu says that's why she looks so pretty. The two men discuss how Mizu was able to send the tachi card to Chihaya. He thinks that he has better ears than Chihaya, and that Chihaya moves straight to the card when she looks at him. He says that if he can steal anything from her, he will steal it.
