About This Chapter
At the beginning of the second half of the chapter, the narrator and the other students of Mizusawa High School are gathered in preparation for the upcoming national tournament. The students are eager to go to the tournament because they know that they will be able to compete with the other schools in the country. The narrator laments the fact that Mizu sawa has lost to Tomihara West High School in the first round of the tournament. He laments that he has not been able to defeat the girls in the second round, and he wishes that he could face them in the final. Mizu sees that his opponent is talking too much, and she is sweating like a crazy woman. She has only two cards left in the tournament, and Mizu thinks that she will lose. The other students congratulate Mizu on her victory, and the narrator thanks them all for their hard work.
