About This Chapter
The chapter opens with the narrator lamenting the fact that Valentine's Day has come and gone. He thanks Valentine for his kind words and wishes him luck in his upcoming marriage. The narrator then goes on to say that he's been thinking about how to improve his eyelash growth. He thinks that if he only had three eyelashes, he'd be able to increase them by about four or five times. He also has an eyelash-growing serum that he can use to help him grow eyelashes faster. He tells Valentine to come back to his club and tell everyone that he has a graduation ceremony coming up. He'd like to thank everyone for their kind words. Valentine says that he hasn't been able to explain himself to anyone in the past few years, and now he wants to explain everything to everyone in the future. He wants to know why the boys in the club are always going to school. He says that since the first day of school, every student has twitched his eyes at the school. Now, he says, the only class that has a player is the one at the academy. Valentine asks why the academy is so good, and the narrator says that it's because of his own eyes. He adds that the school is the best in the country. Valentine tells the narrator to keep working hard at his studies. He asks him to hold on to what he knows: that Valentine has been preparing for exams all his life. Valentine replies that he was preparing himself for exams too, and that's why he loves his girlfriend so much. Valentine wants to tell his girlfriend that he loves her, too, but he doesn't want to tell her about it yet. He wishes he could tell her something about his love, but then he feels like he needs to talk to his girlfriend about it. He suggests that they wait two weeks before telling her about their love.
