About This Chapter
The narrator tells us that this is the first time that two high school students have reached the finals of a tournament. The two students are playing against each other, and they're both serious about winning. The narrator notes that ayase has been playing so hard that he's forgetting about his previous matches. He's also playing cards that he hasn't played in a long time, like aria and chi. He took the aria card because it's one of the cards that Chihaya likes the most, and he wants her to go after it, but she's forcing him to defend it, which is hard for her to do. She's worried about losing, though, because she doesn't want her son to lose. She tells the narrator to come by and check out the match.
