About This Chapter
The scene opens with a knock at the door of Hiroshi's house. It's a knock from Hiroshi, who wants to know what's up with his grandson. Hiroshi tells his grandson that he'd like to have some food for dinner, but Hiroshi doesn't know what to do. He tells Hiroshi that his grandson is a "pro mise" , which means he's "not very good at cooking" . When Hiroshi asks if he can have some tea, Hiroshi replies that he can't leave his grandson to it alone. He also says that Hiroshi is the one who's been cooking all day, and Hiroshi thinks that's great. He asks Hiroshi why he hasn't been home since the previous night, and when Hiroshi says that he didn't, he says that it's because Hiroshi has been out all night with the other boys. He's glad to see Hiroshi back, and he thanks him for the food, too. He says that they're counting on Hiroshi to help them out with their errands, so they'll take some food from the kitchen. He notes that he saw Hiroshi earlier, and that he was surprised to see him there. He wonders if Hiroshi knows about Tomoe and Mina, and says that Mina is "scared as hell," and that she'll be busy for a while, so she's not going to have time to talk to him. He notices that the crowd is getting a little nervous about this, and they ask Hiroshi if they can grab some food. He promises to give it to them, but he also notes that they were talking to him earlier, so he promises that he won't say anything to them about it. He thanks them all for their food, and tells them that they can have any food they want, too, if they want to. He adds that he doesn'
