About This Chapter
As the battle continues, Enoshima asks if the town is safe just hiding in a corner. He asks if anyone has been injured or destroyed by the enemy. Enoshima then asks if he wants to fight again, even though he's weak. He says he'll eat, too, and then asks the monkey if it's safe to stay hidden. The monkey replies that the town hasn't been destroyed by anyone, and Enoshima says he was born and raised in the town. He tells the monkey not to worry about the town, because he knows they'll be back soon. He also tells Enoshima that the city's drinking water seems to be running out, so they're going to have to make another run for it in the morning. When Enoshima wonders why he is there, the monkey says that he used to fight with Enoshima like a demon, but now he thinks that Enoshima is using him like a human. He feels sorry for Enoshima for saying that, but he doesn't want to hurt Enoshima.
