Back at the inn, Hirokazu asks what's wrong with his ears. He's been wearing them all day, and they're still bothering him. He tells her that he doesn't want to be a burden to the Senate, so he's going to have to get rid of them. He also says that the Senate is going to need his help in dealing with the other demon hunters, because they all want the same thing: the ears to protect them from being dropped from the sky.
