About This Chapter
The next morning, the gang is getting ready to go swimming, and Maria asks if she's feeling well. She says she is, and they're going swimming anyway. Maria thanks him for fixing the swimming pool, and he thanks her for pushing him into it. He says he's not worried about it, because it's just a matter of time before the pool collapses. They eat dinner before school, and then Maria asks where the fish dish came from. Maria says she'll be careful not to let Mizuki catch the body of the dead body, because that's what a god is supposed to do. She adds that if she were to die, she'd be afraid of death, but if she lived long enough, she wouldn't need a god. She's a story teller, she says, and she tells the story of what's going to happen to the town.
