The next morning, Mina and Harada return to the shrine. Mina tells Harada that she has found a recipe for a dish of boiled bamboo. She tells him that the gods do not allow humans to eat it, but that they will allow them to do so in the afterlife. She asks Harada to use the pulse of the dragon to perform the ceremony. She also asks him to bring back some shrinefuku mochi for her.
