About This Chapter
In this short scene, we learn that Hirohito has just arrived at the Narita International Airport, and that he is now penniless. He asks Miss Featherstone if he can borrow some money from the casino, but Featherstone refuses, saying that the casino blew all their money at the gambling hall. He then asks if he has a relationship with Hiroshito, and Featherstone replies that he does, but that he has to take advantage of his "womanly feelings" . He tells Featherstone that he jumped on the plane to Singapore so that they can hurry and get out of the casino before Hiroshio gets back. Featherstone tells him that they don't allow anyone under the age of 20 to enter the casino. He says that he'll show them how a turned man he is, and they'll laugh at him for being a "real man scrooge" , and he promises that he will prove it.
