About This Chapter
The narrator and the other students are enjoying a meal at the inn. The narrator asks the waiter if he is studying with Keitaro again. The waiter replies that he is, and the narrator asks him to stop saying he is enjoying his studies. He says that he has been practicing with him too, and he is sad that he cannot enjoy his studies as he used to. When the narrator tells him that the girl is innocent, the waiter says that it is his fault that she has been down lately. He tells the girl that he will do something to regain her honor. The girl says that she will not be able to trust him anymore because he is a liar. She tells the narrator that she used to live with her parents until she was 18 years old. She moved to an inn to be with her family, and she is a girl too. She is glad to have found him. The two of them are now the same age, and they are happy to be together. They both say that they are sorry for the things they have done, but that they will work hard to make amends.
