In this short scene, the young bride-to-be tries to fall asleep but cannot. She wakes up to find that her grandfather has told her that they are close to the North and that her future husband will soon be arriving. She wonders what kind of man he will be and how he will accept her for who she is. She was angry at her grandfather when he was still alive, but now she realizes that he is the only family she is left with and she should not let her anger take over her or else she will regret it.
