About This Chapter
The two men discuss the recent events in their village. They have lost loved ones, and they have worked together to try and end the war. One of the men tells the other that he has seen the sun clan turn the akhi rock into a weapon. The sun clan, he says, has turned the people into their puppets. The man asks why he is telling him this, and the man replies that he came to the village as a friend. He says that one of his men probably saw the man who did the deed, and took the stone to himself to collect it. He tells the man that his punishment for disobeying his orders is that he will guard the entrance of the village until morning
