About This Chapter
Back on the train, the conductor tells the others that he saw a girl entering the break room the night before. He thinks it's suspicious that the girl would be able to sneak into the room with his own eyes. He's also suspicious that they're trying to cover up the murderer's identity. The conductor says he saw the girl sneak in with his eyes, but he doesn't think the girl threw the murder weapon out of the window. He also says that the sound of a window breaking is a sign that the murderer is still on board the train. He suggests that they bring in more people to keep an eye on the passengers. Tanaka, the cabin attendant, thinks that the dead body was momoko, and wonders if there's another demon on board. He says that he's sure that it was not momoko who killed the body, but that she's still missing. He wonders why the conductor didn't tell the passengers earlier that momoko was missing and that the murder might have been connected to her disappearance.
