Late one night, Mina and Harada discuss the details of the letter they received from the head. The elder went out for a night fishing, but suddenly had a sudden heart attack and ended up in the lake. Mina explains that the elder had suffered a heart attack before, and that he survived only by sheer luck. Mina also explains that, even though the elder never fully healed from his heart attack, he never fully recovered from his injuries. She wonders why the head had to ask her, and wonders how she is supposed to know such weird techniques. The head also mentions that he had gone to the island alone two days before, but that after returning, the elder seemed completely different. Mina wonders why they would go there, since the murderer had come from that island. She also wonders if the three heads have anything to do with this case, since they were all around the lake when the elder died
