In the lobby of the Inn of the Seven Gables, the girls wait for their rooms to be unlocked, but they are interrupted by the sound of a knock at the door. It is the voice of Nitta the ogre, and the girls are afraid that she will kill them. They decide to take the stairs to Nitta's room instead, as it is the safest and fastest route. The girls rush through the door, but nodoka does not get a chance to kiss Nitta.
