In this short scene, the students discuss the upcoming selection test for the minister's magi class. They are confident that they can defeat the dragon, but they are worried that they will not be able to do so because of the difficulty of the test and the fact that the dragon is so vicious at this time of the year. One of the students tries to lure the dragon to a rock, but the other student, who is also a magi, warns him not to use too much of the rock's magic, as it will make the dragon forget how to use the rock. The other student tries to convince the magi that the test was designed to select the most dangerous candidates for the festival, but he is unable to convince them that it was the one who won the test. The magi finally convinces the other students that it will be a good idea to have several candidates to choose from.
