In the tower, Sora and the rest of the gang were chosen to raise money for research into the effects of climate change. They didn't know what they were doing, so they chose people who had the highest potential but weren't able to afford to support the research. Sora says that she and the others stood up for them, and that's how they ended up in the tower in the first place. She says that if only they had started a sleeping forest, they would have been the best of all possible members. She's not sure what to make of this, but she's sure that it's the final test of their friendship. She tells him to go ahead and clean the place up, and he agrees. He says that he doesn't blame Sora for the story, because if he wanted to rid himself of the taste in his mouth, he'd be friends with anyone who knew how to do it. He also says that this is the last time he's going to test his friendship with Sora. He tells her to be careful with an old woman like her, because she might be a ghost.
