About This Chapter
In this final chapter of the book, we learn that avaritia is dying of cancer. She has been sick for a year and is now in a weakened state. She tells us that she is glad that ruby is back. She says that she used to love her job, but now she is sick constantly. She also says that the infection never clears up. She compares herself to a "sudden infant dance syndrome" caused by teenage music. She is glad to hear that she has come out of her illness. She asks if she can stop coming back if she hears that song again. He says that he is glad he is back if he hears the song again, and he says that all he wanted to say was that he was glad he was back. He then says that his father is dying and that he will not be able to do what he wants to do anymore. He is the greatest killer man has ever created, he says. He adds that he has come to clean up the mess before it is too late. He tells the reader that his name is Michaelott and he works for a delivery company. He asks if anyone knows his name, and they all say that they do. He also tells them that the book looks like a lighter from outer space.
