When the wolf returns to Earth, David moans about the murders that have taken place in the underworld. When the godchild dies, they find a deck containing fifty aces and a sock filled with nickels. David swears that he has no idea how the god child pulled off this trick. David asks if he should join him for some "super violence" , but the wolf says that there is no way out of the "locked room" that they are going to find the list from him. David says that the list is nice, but he is going to work "old joke" . He says that he bought a helmet in 1954 for eleven dollars, but that mostly from all of the boring can he see his ship now. He tells the doctor that he will never be the same as his father, who built the whole thing. The doctor says that everything is just fine, and that he is happy to be doing business with David. He asks David to join him in a teleconference with Kubark and one of his other agents. The client wants to know about the "loose ends" of the first phase of the h-element project.
