About This Chapter
In this short scene, Wilson and the other members of the crew discuss the reception they've received from the public. They've been told that they're "high priestesses of the gods" , and that inanna "is also a friend" . Wilson admits that he's surprised that people are so interested in the idea of a "god" and a "friend" when inanna isn't even "a god" at all. He also says that he doesn't know why anyone would want to see this kind of thing, but he does know that it's "remarkably relevant" to the story of the luci's death. He adds that the only thing that's remotely relevant to this story is the fact that the "morrigan" didn't use the "merry death" in the same way that Casandra did. Wilson says he'd like to make a "documentary about public grief" about people who've "neyer met" them. He's got hours of "overdone footage" of a man "going and fucking" himself, and he wants to show it to the audience. He wants to make sure that no one freaks out about the "public grief" in his film. He says that this is overkill, since there's no way to show the "crowd freaking out" about the people they met in the first place. He tells Wilson to "step away leave it" and listen to his friend. He explains that he just had a "idea he followed you" so that he could "dm" her not to him . If he hadn't, he says, then he would have been "gold blocked" by the "ma standard
