About This Chapter
In the third round of the tournament, a disciple of the crest from the last place is defeated by a disciple from the first place. This is a bad omen, says the instructor, because it means that the crest has lost the battle. The instructor says that he'll try again next time, but this time, he doesn't need to try as hard. He's already beaten the crest's second-best disciple, so he's got no choice but to concede. He tells the instructor to relax and let his injuries heal, because the crest is still ranked 33, and losing this battle will not change anything. He also says that the instructor from the crest will pay for what he has done, since the crest still has the last spot in the tournament. He says that if the instructor is matched with him, it's best to concede, since it'll be easier to defeat him in three moves than in four. He then asks the instructor if he still plans to hide his trump card in the arena, and the instructor replies that he will. This means that he still has three moves to defeat the instructor. He calls the instructor's bluff, saying that he won't use a weapon against him, and that this move will be nothing more than a threat to him. He adds that this is the last move of the three moves, and he will beat the instructor in four moves. He reminds the instructor that he said that he would surrender if he could't beat him three moves in a row, but the instructor has already lost three moves by this point.
