Rumor has it that the bandits known as the "quicksand claws" have gotten secret funding from "alien forces" and that they're using the chaos in the area as an opportunity to wreak havoc on the local tribes. For thousands of years the local clans have been fighting each other and war has been going on. Since the previous chieftain of the area was assassinated, "the maulers" have been left "leaderless for decades" . Anasta's "blood claw" comes to the meeting and tells brutus that he's just there to let him know that the humans have been secretly communicating with the "blood-claw" and the "light-bearers" and are attacking chieftain "peak." Anasta asks brutus if he wants to be "great chieftain that badly" , and brutus says that he just wants to let them know that he is there too and that the "humans" are here too. He tells the humans to come and defeat him if they don't like his methods. After all, he says, if they disagree with his methods, "come defeat me then!" . The clan leaders finally realize that they need to change their ways, and they swear allegiance to "the blood-claw." After this, the clans are no longer enemies of each other.
