About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that Enobarbus is a mutual enemy of both Frankenstein and the Knights Templar. He tells Frankenstein that he was seriously injured when they captured him, but that he has recovered in a few days. He wants to know where he is going and what he's going to do, so he sends a message to all the knights, asking them to send him their regards. He says that he doesn't want to tell anyone that they're going to save the world, since that would be against their principles, but he also says that what the knights did was something they wanted to do but didn't have the means to achieve. He doesn' t want the young Frankenstein to be as powerful as the old one, and so he wants him to be alive. He also tells him that if he can't get back alive, he doesn t know if he'll be able to do it. He feels that his twisted character is what makes him such a bad person. He's not sure if he has a split personality or if it's a combination of both. He thinks that the people around him treat him as a ruthless, greedy, arrogant, mysterious, heroic, and unpredictable person. If they treat him like that, he says, there's no chance for him to escape. He asks if he still plans to work with Enobarbas, and if so, will he still work with him?
