In this chapter, we learn that the white cloud pavilions houseman, ryan, is a member of the group, and that he's been having a tough time lately. He tells the vice captain of the knights that the woman they're looking for is a human, but that her aura is so amazing that it overshadows the aura of bai. The vice captain asks if ryan is there, and ryan tells him that he isn't. He says that they need to consider the "destabilizing elements" of the White Cloud Pavilion, and he hopes that bai won't mind, because the White Clouds are nothing but "an antique shop" . ryan says that it's easy for them to kidnap him, but he doesn't want to fight them yet, so he tells them to leave him out of the way. The white clouds are in charge, he says, and they haven't cared about anything in the world since they turned rui into their houseman. rui was the one who turned bai into the houseman of the white clouds, and if it wasn't for that dog, he wouldn't be here doing this crap.
