About This Chapter
Chapter twenty-nine opens with a description of the protagonist's grandfather, who is a hero to the protagonist, but to his grandma, he is an "asshole." The protagonist explains that his grandfather sent him into the army without his parents' knowledge. The protagonist says that he wanted to become a policeman, but his parents said he was a "son of a b-tch" and that he was too stupid to be a soldier. He tells the protagonist that he has been living in the pavilion for two days and that his probation is over, so he can move to the pavilion immediately. He complains that the pavilion is too big for him, but the protagonist points out that it is still nice to live in such a large room. He says that the rooms in the house change according to how powerful the protagonist is. He compares his room to that of the two monsters, and says that if he were stronger, he would not be jealous of them. He asks the protagonist how he and the kid got into the pavilion, and the protagonist replies that he only moved into it two days ago.
