About This Chapter
The police station is described as a "church of god" and the young hero is praised as the "lone hero" of the police force. The narrator tells us that the newspaper accounts of the fight are all over the place. He tells the audience that he is finally getting a break from the nagging of the old man and that he can finally get away from all of his nagging. He sees a map of the city and tells the narrator to meet him at a junkyard. The map shows that the school is on the outskirts of town and that the young man is tricking him to the outskirts and then attacking him. He calls the police officer a "bastard" and tells him to go to the hospital if he is sick. He says that he will put him in his place if he has the balls. He asks the boy who cried the wolf if he heard the story of the boy crying wolf. The boy cried wolf because he was afraid of the man. The young man says that there is no hope for this idiot since he said that he still cant control his ability. He also says that if he wins, he will have to tell him every little detail of what happened to him. If he loses, he has to tell everything to the narrator. He wants to remind the boy to say goodbye to his "original world" from now on. He reminds the boy that he only used half of his energy in the fight. If the boy wants warm beer, he should give it back.
