In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character, the leader of "the fur beasts" . We learn that she is a member of the "neo-humans" , and that she has come to warn the "western lord" about the impending catastrophe. The western lord is horrified to learn that two of his lords have arrived to warn him about the danger. He asks the young man why he wants to go to the place where the "pillar of everything" is located. The young man answers that he needs to go there because he has a special reason for going there, and the reason is that the place is under the jurisdiction of the western lord. He then asks why the ancient gods are involved in the matter, and why human lives are also under his jurisdiction. He also asks why it is necessary to change the "fate" of a person, and he then asks if the human is special because it is a "door to another world" and that once it opens, the whole of the world will collapse. This is a very important question, he says, because once the door is opened, "the bureau of everything collapses." He asks why he didn't tell him earlier about the importance of the place. He says that he thought he had already told him about it, but that he just thought that he should have told him earlier. He wonders why the "nine elders" and the "three aces" don't seem to care about the fate of the bureau, and wonders if the people outside really care.
