About This Chapter
It's just business, says the old chief, and he blames the people of Dream Land for their weakness. The old chief says that people in Dream Land are "crueler" than the "most vicious demonic beasts" . This is the way dream land works, he tells us. A bronze coffin has been discovered in a river, and the treasure hunters will not touch it because it's underwater. The flash flood must have swept away the weapons that suppressed it, he says. He wants to leave, but he can't because he's not interested in the treasure at all. The treasure hunters are trying to steal his bracelet, but his bracelet is too valuable to be taken away. The bronze bell is powerful, and none of them dare try to take it away. He decides to go back with the chief to get the bracelet.
