About This Chapter
After absorbing the resources of the yin mei, the monk has reached his "divine god realm" and is ready to deal with the ling. He asks the first elder if he needs permission to go anywhere he wants. The elder replies that he does not need permission, but that he feels a little tired. The monk asks the elder why he is unhappy, and the elder answers that he would rather not threaten him with the current ling because he will not fall for that. He then asks the monk if he still remembers the bet he made with him earlier that day, in which he bet that the current king would one day be able to defeat the current emperor. The first elder asks if the monk is so eager to be the next emperor that he is taking the position "a little too important". The monk replies that the position is not important enough for him, and that he has no reason to refuse.
