About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the demon-possessed King Kong has decided to take over the family's affairs from his father-in-law, who is now dead. The King explains that he is bringing the family back from the brink of disaster so that he can "make up for things" from the past. He also wants to appease his father's father, who does not believe him easily. He explains that the "demonic nature" produced by the Host's heart is no longer a problem for him, but that he still has to be cautious. He says that he will take the teachings of his father "to heart" and that he cannot blame the Host for his own evil. He adds that the Host did not even believe him at the time of his awakening, but now that he controls the family, he can push all of the blame onto his own demonic heart. He asks why the King is so kind to him, and the King replies that he hasn't helped him in any way. He tells the King that whatever he wants him to do, he will "die a thousand deaths" to do it. He gives the King a thud, a "domain-breaking talisman," to use if he encounters a strong opponent
