About This Chapter
In this chapter, Shmoop makes it clear that he doesn't want to hang out with his friends. He's not going to go to a party, a movie, or a dance with them. He just wants to make sure that they don't get any snacks from the vending machines with him. If he has a brain injury and changes his mind, he'll let them know. If they can't do anything nice, he says, then he's ready to go. He offers to pick her up and take her to the hospital if she needs a ride. He also offers to take her home if she wants to. He tells her that his decisions are "a solid 10/10" . He promises to tell her how to live her life, but he still hasn't made up his mind about the "blue hair thing" she's going on. He thanks the taxi service for picking him up. He says that he has no overnight parking, so he can go check on the mail. He wonders if he can just come back later to check it out. He then says that it's a false alarm to worry about the mail, but it'd be better if he didn't worry about it at all.
