In this chapter, the villain tells his followers that he is short of men. He begs them to come with him to apologize to his master, but they refuse, saying that they are not strong enough to fight with him. He tells them that they should go seize the tomb and kill him, but that they must tell him who sent them there. The villain then tells the story of how zhuyanxin snuck down the mountains the previous day. He says that they thought they were going to ask him about something, but he was his subordinate, so they didn't want to ask. They rushed up to the tomb, and there were hundreds of people there. He asks who told him about it, and the villain says that he was tricked.
