About This Chapter
In this short scene, Desdemona laments that she has been without a father for so long that she never cries. She tells her father that she hates him so much that she begs him to beat him. She also tells him that she will become stronger and kill anyone who does evil things. She begs her father to stand up so that she can avenge her father. She says that if she had not been so weak, she would have killed her father, who could not have defeated such a great man like Desdemonas. She asks her father if he is going to avenge his father, and he says that he is not going to do so because he is weaker than her. She then asks him why he is so quiet.
